Research

The Foreign Policy Lab develops and implements projects that advance our understanding of Austrian foreign policy as well as of the structures and processes of world politics in which Austria and its foreign policy are embedded. The lab is committed to integrating the perspectives of multiple academic disciplines such as political science, history, (international) law, and economics as well as the perspectives of practitioners in these projects. Furthermore, it applies a variety of state-of-the-art (social science) research methods such as survey research, discourse network analysis, and quantitative text analysis as well as to promote the development of new research methods.
